Hamper campaign off to good start
Hamper campaign off to good start
Fort Saskatchewan's annual Christmas Hamper Campaign is off to a good start, with multiple donations, and the big Tim Horton's holiday smile cookie promotion.
Purchase a holiday smile cookie at a Fort Saskatchewan Tim Horton's location before Nov. 19, and help the Fort Saskatchewan Christmas Hamper campaign.
Food Bank volunteers will soon be at your favourite grocery store collecting hamper donations of cash or non-perishable food items and toys.
Major donations made recently include $25,000, plus lots of food and toys from Bunge Canada Fort Saskatchewan.
Heart to Soul wellness fair organizers, Share and Care Thrift and Southpointe School also made donations to the Food Bank recently.
The Space: Yoga, Meditation & Wellness dropped off 166 lbs of food at the Food Bank Christmas open house, including 116 cans donated from their yoga community.
Organized by the Food Bank, the 2023 hamper campaign needs to raise $100,000 this year, along with tonnes of food and gifts. The 2022 campaign delivered food and toys to more than 280 households, which was a new record.
Sign up to help with the campaign by dropping by the Food Bank office at 11226 88 Avenue, calling 780-4099 or email fortsaskfoodbank@gmail.com
Hampers will be delivered on Dec. 16.
