Townhouses proposed downtown
Townhouses proposed downtown
Another townhouse development is being proposed for Fort Saskatchewan's downtown.
The development is next to other townhouses on 109A Street and backing on to Ross Creek.
Most of the site is currently undeveloped, though zoned for single detached housing. The former home of Roger and Leslie MacMillan is also on the site proposed for redevelopment.
Part of the proposal also includes closing a section of road right of way in the front yard of the MacMillan home. This particular section of right of way is not currently in use, but is just part of the yard. The short piece of road actually in use next to at the location will not be closed.
Access to Langworthy Park and the small toboggan hill there will not be affected.
If approved, the plan should allow eight or ten new townhouse units to be built.
A public hearing on this proposal takes place at City Hall on Tuesday, Jan. 14, starting at 2 p.m.
